Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Do I need my pleasure craft license?
Yes, when you arrive at Fish and Duck Houseboats our trained staff will have an orientation. After you will obtain a temporary license.
2. Is there an age requirement for operating a boat?
Yes we require that anyone operating the houseboats/ski boats be 19 years of age or older.
3. Can I bring my pet?
Yes as long as there are no more than 2 pets. Pets must be pre-registered at the time of the booking, a pet fee of $75 will apply.
4. Do I need to bring firewood?
Yes. While there may be driftwood along the beaches, there is no guarantee that there will enough for your trip. It is recommended that you bring your own firewood.
5. Is there cell service on the lake?
Cell service is available, however it's not reliable. For example you may have no service, walk 5 feet and have full bars.
6. Is there somewhere to purchase alcohol?
Yes beer, wine, and coolers can be purchased at the pub to take with you.
7. Is there somewhere to purchase ice?
Yes bags of ice are available at the pub.
8. Do we require Life Jackets?
Adult size life jackets are supplied on all boats and are for emergency use only. Please bring life jackets for any of your crew under 90lbs.
9. Is gas included?
No gas is not included in the price. There is a fuel dock for your convenience. A average estimate for a 3 night stay would be $120 for fuel.
10. Is water included?
You will be required to bring your own drinking water. Water for the boats facilities is taken from the lake.
11. Items that are included on the houseboats:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Percolator for coffee
- Propane for the BBQ
Items that are NOT allowed:
- extra speakers
- water balloons
